A: “I grew up in a small Midwestern town where I enjoyed the benefits of a strong family and friendly, hard-working community. My values are rooted in this setting, where ambition and opportunity had a chance to blossom. After teaching at the college level for a few years, I had the chance to move to Washington, DC and dig into politics and public policy, where my background in economics took hold as an economist for the US Senate. After over 10 years working in the public sector in DC, I joined the private sector, where my interests in economics, business, research and communication converged in the field of investor relations, which I have been practicing for 14 years. I met my wife while in DC, and eventually we moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota to raise a family in another small town with strong values and work ethic – not to mention the beautiful outdoors. We have five national parks within a two-hour drive. My outside interests include trout fishing, skiing, golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling and photography. We are active in our community, and my wife, Regina, is the executive director of a regional foundation.”

A: “I joined the CDEX team for four reasons. First, I saw a company that is in a transformational mode from R&D to full commercial operations with products in hot markets – this is an exciting time of growth for the Company and I wanted to be a part of that growth. Second, I was impressed with the ethics, caliber and commitment demonstrated by CDEX’s management and employees. I think employees that embrace the vision of their company are more productive and resourceful, and I saw those traits in the CDEX team. Third, I prefer working with companies that are making a difference in our world, not just taking up space. CDEX is devoted to converting technology into positive outcomes for society. Its two product lines today demonstrate that commitment and what’s on the drawing board for tomorrow follows that theme. Finally, my position at CDEX allows me professional development and personal growth. This is a Company that to date has allocated very few resources to investor relations. The Company has made a commitment in this area going forward. I will be a key player in formulating and implementing the initial strategy – that is exciting and professionally rewarding.”

A: “I consider investor relations to be a ‘big picture’ corporate role, where all elements of business operations provide input into our investment thesis. These factors include the full spectrum of the Company’s activities, from day to day business operations, management direction and performance measures in the near term to strategic planning and forecasting for the longer term. This “input” is then incorporated into our ongoing public dialog which integrates investors (existing and prospective), customers, the media and analysts with the Company.”

A: “First is the timely, accurate and meaningful disclosure of the Company’s performance and other developments. And second is assuring that the information released is read and considered by a full spectrum of the investing public, media and analysts. I should add that in my discussions with the CDEX management team I was very encouraged by their strong focus on the accuracy of information disclosed and I believe that they practice what they preach. From my experience with other companies, in order to be relevant to the investing public, I and the Company must maintain credibility. The public sometimes may not like what you are saying, but they must know you are telling them the truth. That has been important to CDEX in the past and is important to me going forward.”

A: “I view shareholders – owners of the Company – as partners. Shareholders, of course, are the source of our equity capital and we also rely on stock transactions to keep our stock liquid in the marketplace. Ideally, shareholders are our advocates in investor circles. As Investor Relations Director, I am an added resource and contact point for our shareholders. I intend to build a two-way street to increase interaction and information flow with our existing and potential shareholders and also to convey their comments and views with other senior management. Ultimately, I desire to have our shareholders as partners of our corporate mission, as they provided the financial support in our quest to be a vibrant, profitable and growing Company.”
